Choosing a location for your
wedding photos is a very important decision. The location helps
tell the fairytale story. It can also describe who you are as a
couple.
There are a few steps to follow when
choosing your location. First, make sure that photographs are
allowed to be taken at this site. Then, check with your
photographer to ensure that he/she will agree on photographing your
pictures there. You will want to choose an area where the lighting
is sufficient and the "pedestrian" traffic is low. There are many
beautiful spots in Western New York for photographs. However, if it is a popular place,
and depending on the time of year, you may find yourself competing for poses with 10 other wedding
parties. Ask your photographer for advice to minimize the possibility
of this happening. Also remember to take into consideration the
amount of time you have for photographs. If you opt to take
your photos between your wedding and your reception, make sure you have
enough time for the photos, and to do whatever else you have in mind.
Your church and/or reception facility may
be a beautiful setting for photographs. Taking pictures near a
gazebo or gardens can add a special touch. Other ideal places are
parks, historical sites, or the backyard of a family member or friend.
It is also a good idea to have a backup indoor location in mind in case
of bad weather.
Always check with your photographer
before deciding on a location. They may have the perfect spot for
your pictures. That special somewhere that will help to tell your "fairytale
story" for many years to come. |
